Kyushu Region
a) There was somewhat clustered seismic activity in the Aso district of Kumamoto Pref., the largest event of which was an M4.5 earthquake on 9 March (maximum intensity: 4).
b) An M6.0 earthquake occurred on 24 March northwest of Amami Oshima Island at a shallow depth [Sea Near Amami Oshima].
Also, though it was outside our time frame, an M4.1 earthquake occurred on 3 April in northwestern Kagoshima Pref. (maximum intensity: 3) [Kagoshima Prefecture, Satsuma District].
