The whole of Japan M4 (March 1999)


An M6.2 earthquake occurred offshore of eastern Kanto, an M5.7 offshore of eastern Aomori Pref., and an M6.0 northwest of Amami Oshima Island.In addition, an M4.7 and an M5.0 earthquake occurred in the vicinity of Kozushima Island [Offshore South of Izu Peninsula], an M4.5 in the Aso district of Kumamoto Pref., and an M4.9 in northern Ibaraki Pref.

Also, though it is outside our time frame, an M7.2 earthquake occurred on 8 April in the vicinity of Vladivostok at a depth of about 600km.
