Seismic Fault Model of the 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake (provisional)

The characteristics of the seismic fault model (rectangular fault, uniform slip) based on the crustal deformation derived from SAR (DAICHI-2) and GNSS are as follows.

1) A reverse fault motion on a plane with high dip angle in almost N-S strike direction is estimated.
2) The upper end of the fault plane is situated at about 16 km depth (the lower end: at about 31 km depth).
3) The estimated seismic moment is 8.68 x 1018 Nm (moment magnitude: 6.56)
