Seismic Activities for All of Japan in February 2015 (Magnitude 4.0 or over)

# A rectangle shows the aftershock area of the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake.

* On February 6, there was a M5.1 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 5 Upper) in southern Tokushima prefecture.
* On February 14, there was a M6.2 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 1 in Japan) near Taiwan.
* On February 17, there was a M6.9 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 4) offshore Sanriku. In addition to tsunami with height of 27 cm at Kuji Port (the Ports and Harbors Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), Iwate prefecture, slight tsunami was observed along the Pacific coast from Hokkaido to Iwate prefecture. Afterwards in the vicinity of the epicenter, there was an active seismicity, such as a M6.5 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 3) on 20th and a M6.4 (maximum seismic intensity 2) on 21th.
* On February 17, there was a M5.7 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 5 Upper) offshore Iwate prefecture.
* On February 25, there was a M6.1 earthquake (no observation with seismic intensity 1 or over) under the ocean near Torishima.

[The events which have date, time and magnitude in the figure are M5.0 or greater earthquakes, or M4.0 or greater earthquakes that have a maximum seismic intensity of 5 Lower, or greater. The above mentioned event(s) fall under one or more of the following categories; M6.0 or greater earthquakes, or M4.0 or greater earthquakes that have maximum seismic intensity of 5 Lower, or greater.]
