Crustal Movements in the Tokai Region (3)

Final Analysis: January 1, 1997 to August 24, 2005

Average secular rates and annual cyclic changes are calculated using data up to January 2000. The points in the plot show the deviations from the average rates.
The vertical component from 2003 has not been corrected for the yearly periodicity.
The crustal movements caused by the earthquakes that occurred off-shore southeast of the Kii Peninsula on September 5, 2004, have been preliminarily removed.
The crustal movements caused by the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake on October 23, 2004, have been removed.
It is thought that the postseismic movements of the earthquakes that occurred off-shore southeast of the Kii Peninsula on September 5, 2004 affected the data during the period from September 2004 to early 2005.
