Kinki-Chugoku-Shikoku Region


a) In southern Tokushima Prefecture, on February 8th there was a shallow M4.2 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 4).
b) Aftershocks to the 2000 Western Tottori Prefecture Earthquake are declining. On February 11th, there was an M4.3 earthquake (maximum seismic intensity 4).
c) The seismic activity in northern Hyogo Prefecture is declining, but continues. There were M3.9 (maximum seismic intensity 3) events on February 1st and 16th.
