Seismic activity in the whole of Japan April 2000 (Magnitude 4 and greater)


There was an M5.0 event in the Chishima Archipelago. Two events of M5.2 and M5.1 occurred in the aftershock region of the 1994 M7.5 Sanriku Haruka Offshore earthquake. There was an M5.7 deep-focus earthquake in Wakasa Bay. There was an M5.4 event 600 km south-southeast of Chichijima Island (in the sea near Chichijima). An M7.6 earthquake occurred in the same area on March 28.
