Kyushu Region


a) On 8 June, there was seismic activity including an M4.8 event (maximum seismic intensity 5 lower) in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture.
b) On 25 June, there was an M5.9 event (maximum seismic intensity 4) in the sea near Tanegashima [in the sea southeast of the Osumi peninsula].
c) On 6 June, there was an M6.1 event (maximum seismic intensity 3) in the sea near Amami Oshima. And on 15 June, there was an M5.8 event further to the west.
