Seismic activity near the locked region (in the Philippine Sea slab after 1997) by region from January 1, 1997 to July 8, 2000

There have been few earthquakes, whether considered as M2 or higher or taken as a whole, within the slab since the latter half of last year, but there has been a moderate increase since the beginning of this year.
