Seismic activity in northeastern Chiba Prefecture (1)


On 3 June, there was an M6.0 event at a depth of 48 km, and on 8 July the largest aftershock to this event, at M3.6, occurred. The focal mechanism was a reverse fault type with a northeast pressure axis. On 12 April, there was also an M4.1 event with a very similar focal mechanism in approximately the same location.
