Seismic activity offshore of eastern Hokkaido (1)

The current activity is occurring on the southwest margin of the aftershock area of the 1994 [Earthquake East Offshore of Hokkaido] (M8.1). The mechanism of the M6.8 earthquake is similar to that of the M8.1 event.
