Kyushu Region


a)The seismic activity in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture, which included an M4.8 event on June 8th, continues.

Additionally, there was an M5.1 event on August 3rd in the western tip of the aftershock zone of the M5.9 event that occurred on June 25th in the sea southeast of the Osumi Peninsula [in the sea near Tanegashima].
