Seismic activity in the whole of Japan March 2000 (Magnitude 4 and greater)


An M5.3 earthquake occurred east offshore of Hokkaido [Southeast Offshore of Nemuro Peninsula]. An M5.0 earthquake occurred in Sendai Bay. A deep-focus M5.0 earthquake occurred in the sea near Torishima Island. A fairly deep-focus M7.6 earthquake occurred some 600km SSE of Chichishima Island [Sea near Chichishima] (maximum intensity: 3).
