The whole of Japan M4 (February, 1999)


An M5.2 and an M5.0 earthquake occurred in the vicinity of Etorofu Island, an M5.3 offshore of the southeastern coast of Nemuro Peninsula, an M5.9 in the southern reaches of the Sea of Okhotsk at a depth of about 430km, an M5.1 (causing damage) off the southern coast of Akita Pref., an M5.1 offshore of Fukushima Pref., an M5.8 and an M5.7 offshore of the eastern coast of the Kanto Region, and an M5.8 in the sea near Yonaguni Island [Taiwan vicinity].

Although outside our time frame, an M6.2 earthquake occurred on 2 Mar.@offshore of the eastern coast of the Kanto Region.
