Kyushu Region


a) On August 10th, there was an M4.0 event (maximum seismic intensity 3) in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture.
b) On August 3rd, an M5.1 event occurred in the northwest tip of the aftershock region of the M5.9 event that occurred on June 25th in the sea south-east of the Osumi Peninsula [the sea near Tanegashima].
c) On August 7th, there was an M5.2 event in the sea near Amami Oshima.
