There was no marked activity.

Additionally, although it occurred outside of the period under discussion, on October 6th at 1:30 p.m.. there was an M7.3 event [the 2000 Western Tottori Earthquake] (maximum seismic intensity 6 upper) in western Tottori Prefecture. Also, on October 8th at 8:51 p.m., there was an M5.0 aftershock (maximum seismic intensity 5 lower) on the same area.
