Seismic activity in the area of Beppu Bay

On April 29, there was a shallow M4.0 event at a depth of 11 km, and multiple aftershocks were observed. The mechanism was a normal fault type on a south-north tension axis. Also, in December of last year, there was concentrated seismic activity in the southwestern part of this area of activity.
