Seismic activity near the locked region (in the Philippine Sea slab after 1997) by region from January 1 1997 to July 26 2000

There have been few earthquakes, whether considered as M2 or higher or taken as a whole, within the slab since the latter half of last year, but there has been a moderate increase since the beginning of this year.
